Our Review of the Bath & Body Works Campfire Donut Candle
Cold sniff: On cold, I pick up a sweet bakery note, similar to the Cinnamon Sugar Donut candle from years past. There is also a subtle earthy/woodsy note to this scent as well. Its a nice scent on cold and I was excited to try this one.
Lit Scent: Once lit, I mostly get the donut/bakery note. The subtle woodsy scent I picked up on cold doesn’t come through much. It reminds me a lot of Cinnamon Sugared Donut without the cinnamon. Again, its a nice bakery scent, but nothing to special.
Scent Throw & Strength: I was surprised how light this one was. From cold, I was expecting something a lot stronger, but I would rate this a 5 or 6 out of 10 in terms of scent strength. The fragrance did travel well, but it was very subtle.
Final Thoughts: I was very excited about this one when I heard about it, but it didn’t live up to the expectations. I wanted a better balance from the campfire & the donut notes, but I mostly just got the donut. I was also expecting this to be stronger.
